Is it high time you became a Marine Special Constable?

We’re looking for dedicated individuals to join us as volunteer police officers, eventually progressing into our specialist Marine Unit. 

This is a unique opportunity to volunteer your time in a meaningful and impactful way – supporting the safety of our communities and coastline.

During a very windy and choppy morning out on the police boat, we managed to have chat with Special Constable Simon Collins who has been with the Marine Unit just a few months.

Between riding waves (getting soaked) and conducting routine water patrols, here’s what Simon had to say about his time so far with the unit, and what his career has been like as a volunteer police officer for almost 30 years.
